Herbs in ClearLungs® Sport

Cordyceps

A form of mushroom, Cordyceps have been used both in traditional Chinese medicine and Tibetan traditional medicine for at least 600 years, and possibly much longer. Believed to tonify the lungs and assist with Yin deficiency symptoms and moisture overproduction in the lungs, cordyceps attach to plants, insects, and even other fungi. Some research has shown they may help assist with muscle recovery after exertion and support the body's natural, healthy state free from excess inflammation.

Rhodiola Root

First notated in Ancient Greece, Rhodiola is known to have been used in Tibet and China in early civilizations. Seen as a blessed plant, it was often bequeathed to newly married couples in Siberia as a good luck charm. In traditional Chinese medicine it was believed to nourish Chi and with over 180 studies internationally, it’s now known to have adaptogenic properties. Though only newly popular in the West, it has been used as a supplement for Russian Olympians and cosmonauts to support physical endurance.

Eleuthero Root

Eleuthero root was the first well-studied adaptogen (a substance that promotes the body's overall capacity to handle non-specific forms of stress). It helps the body find homeostasis and supports the ability to respond to external forces that strain the body.

Zhejiang Fritillary Bulb

Most used to support the body's ability to deal with conditions relating to the heart and lungs. Specifically, it’s used to help balance mucus, avoid system stagnation, nourish the lymphatic system, and support overall cardiovascular function.

Schisandra Fruit

Schisandra fruit is known for its extraordinary adaptogenic properties, including the ability to potentially help normalize and balance multiple human systems, this herb assists a healthy oxygen supply for the cells, supports the body's immune system, and builds stamina.

Product Description

The ClearLungs® formula is Ridgecrest Herbals’ premier blend and holds a special place in our hearts as the one that started it all in the ’90s. For years, it has been the country's #1 natural herbal blend for lung health, which shows how effective traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can be.

According to Chinese medicine, the lungs are the "Upper Source of Water," and Qi flows downward from the lungs. Heat and excess water energy occur if the lungs fall out of balance.

ClearLungs® Sport provides support to maintain a balanced system by:

Assisting lung function: The herbs in ClearLungs® Sport help maintain strength in the lungs and improve their ability to function properly.

Balanced mucus and fluid levels: ClearLungs® Sport helps to balance mucus levels in the lungs and respiratory tract. This can help support easy, free breathing. It uses bitter herbs to encourage downward energy flow to harmonize water energy. This can benefit people who seek continued support in maintaining clear lungs and airways.

Supporting the spleen and kidneys: The respiratory system is closely related to the spleen and kidneys, so ClearLungs® Sport is also designed to support these two systems. This can help to maintain overall health and well-being.

Maintaining oxygenation: ClearLungs® Sport can help to maintain oxygenation by supporting air to flow into the lungs, optimizing lung function, and supporting blood circulation. When your lungs function at their best, you will notice positive changes in your athletic performance and energy levels.

ClearLungs® Sport takes the classic ClearLungs® formula and adds additional herbs like Cordyceps, Rhodiola, and eleuthero root to increase the body’s oxygen use and muscle recovery.

In addition, it contains our patented Availablend®, a blend of peppers and warming spices designed to support the bioavailability of other herbs.
