Fresh Mint Brownie Recipe

Chocolate and mint go together like peanut butter and jelly! Here is delicious mint brownie recipe!


  • 3/4 cup butter, salted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Optional: fudge frosting, salt, nuts, etc.


  1. In a saucepan, combine the butter and milk. Heat until the butter just melts and is warm. Do not overheat!
  2. Add the mint, stir, and remove from the heat. Cover the pan and let steep for at least ten minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 8" square pan.
  4. Whisk together flour, salt, cocoa, and baking powder. Set aside.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the butter mixture with eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Mix well.
  6. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just incorporated.
  7. Add any optional ingredients (except frosting), fold in.
  8. Spread the batter into the pan and bake 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool completely before frosting.
  10. Enjoy!
