AirwayClear is considered a cooling formula in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In TCM, it “cools” the body to achieve balance when excess heat is present, helping support a healthy inflammation response. ClearLungs is a heating and cooling formula, designed to stimulate beneficial warmth and clearing activity in the lungs with some ingredients while cooling excess heat with others to achieve balance. AirwayClear is designed with the airways as the primary focus to achieve free, comfortable breathing, while ClearLungs focuses on the lungs to achieve the same effect.

Yes! They are sister products, and both help support the respiratory tract. However, we do recommend taking them 2 hours apart from each other.

Yes. This product used to be called AsthmaClear®, as it is designed to support free breathing in the airways. FDA regulations no longer allow the name of a disease or condition in a supplement product, so the name was changed, as we take Truth in Advertising compliance very seriously. While the name changed, the formula did not.

Due to regulations, we cannot discuss seasonal allergies much. AirwayClear is a cooling formula that keeps airways functioning optimally regardless of the time of year. You may need extra support during certain seasons due to external circumstances, and AirwayClear and SinusClear are good options to try for any time of year if you need that support.

It is not likely. While European licorice has been shown to raise low blood pressure in large doses, Chinese licorice has not been shown to have the same effects and is not used for that purpose in herbal medicine. Our AirwayClear formula contains 126 mg of Chinese licorice. It takes over 400 mg or more of European licorice to raise blood pressure effectively. We always recommend you consult your physician before changing any blood pressure regimen.

Proposition 65 is a California-only law requiring notifications on any product or area that can cause chemical exposure. The law is so strict this includes parking garages, Trader Joe’s, organic carrots, and Disneyland. Basically, anything that exists in modern society is labeled in California, and many companies (like ourselves) preemptively use the label to avoid litigation.

Every lot of our product is tested for heavy metals, bacteria, etc., and consistently come back in compliance with the standards established in Prop65. We are happy to provide this heavy metal testing for any of our products to show they meet Prop65 and Federal standards if you are concerned. Call our customer service line for assistance.
